1. Who We Are

The Ascendant Continuum (“we”, “our”, “the game”) is developed by AscendantContinuum (contact: ascendantcontinuum@gmail.com). This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

• Anonymous device ID — A Firebase Authentication anonymous UID generated on first launch. This does not identify you as a person.
• Gameplay analytics — Which realms you visit, milestones reached, session duration. No names, emails, or personal identifiers are attached.
• Crash reports — Stack traces sent to Firebase Crashlytics when the app crashes. These contain device model and OS version only.
• Local save data — Progress (sparks, sigils, achievements) stored on your device only, with optional encrypted cloud sync.

3. Data We Do NOT Collect

• Your name, email address, or any contact information
• Your location beyond broad time-zone data (used for in-game day/night cycle)
• Financial or payment information (handled entirely by Apple App Store / Google Play)
• Camera, microphone, or contacts

4. How We Use Data

• To improve game balance and detect technical issues
• To provide personalised in-game seasonal events based on your approximate time zone
• To sync your progress if you reinstall or switch devices (opt-in cloud save)

5. Third-Party Services

6. GDPR & Your Rights (EU / UK Residents)

We rely on legitimate interest (gameplay improvement) as the legal basis for analytics. You may withdraw consent at any time via Settings → Privacy in-game, which disables all analytics collection. You have the right to request deletion of your anonymous analytics data by contacting us.

7. COPPA (Children Under 13)

We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The game is rated 4+ / Everyone. If you believe your child has submitted personal information, contact us immediately and we will delete it.

8. Data Retention

Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 14 months, consistent with Firebase Analytics defaults. Crash reports are retained for 90 days. Cloud save data is retained until you delete the app or request deletion.
